TAM Rubberstamp Archive

The TAM Rubberstamp Archive started in 1983 by sending out the first sheets into the network Ruud knew then, and is now over 35 years old. Still more contributions come in and only rarely the normal public can get a glimpse of what the archive contains. Several documentations about this archive are previously made, and online a large catalogue is available. (You can find an overview of all important details mentioned in previous publications (see also www.iuoma.org).

Contribution from Simon Vinkenoog - Amsterdam - 1984

The booklet shown in this video was a contribution for the TAM-Rubberstamp Archive back in 1984. Since Simon died only recently, I decided to document his work because his contributions to the Mail-Art network are not often discussed here in the Netherlands. In the Netherlands Simon is know for his Poetry, Performances, He was connected to the CoBrA group and the Provo's in the 60-ies.

Thanks for sharing this, Ruud... my friend Djev (who is from Holland but now living in Portugal - we do music together and I met him through that venue) was telling me that he enjoyed seeing this since he knew about Vinkenoog of course. I was sharing some images from the IUOMA at Ning Rubberstamps Group with him while we were talking on Skype and he saw this! Small world. :)

Yes, it is a small world. I have met Simon on several occasions. He is quite wellknown in the Netherlanda and abroad. He always was so interested and active on many fronts. He was loved by the general public for his openess and playfull way of life.
